From a Bachelor's Idea to Your Own Start-Up

For the two co-founders, it all started through their joint bachelor thesis in 2019, where the idea of xeem was born. It quickly became clear to both of them: "We want to realize xeem to offer young talents a contemporary access to companies and to make sure that we shape our future together!"

With the help of their passion for the idea and two scholarships, they launched xeem, alongside their master's studies.

Together with Cornelius, who already brought years of experience from the IT world, they founded xeem in 2021.

Since then, we are incredibly proud to bring together numerous young people and diverse companies across Germany through xeem.

March 2025

xeem starts a new chapter with a fresh tailwind
xeem is now part of ITCS Conference GmbH, one of the most innovative tech platforms for IT recruiting and community building in Germany.
The idea behind xeem remains and will be further developed together: with new formats, targeted networking and a strong challenge platform.

Only a short time ago there were 3 of us. Now not much time has passed and we are overjoyed that xeem now has so many strong personalities behind him.

Foundation of xeem GmbH

June 2021

In June 2021, xeem GmbH was officially founded. A huge milestone for our team. Now we are looking forward to what comes next.

EXIST Gründerstipendium

April 2021

Since April 2021, Géraldine and Janine have also been able to receive the EXIST Founder Scholarship, with a funding period of 12 months.

Master Thesis

March 2021

Géraldine and Janine completed their Master's in Leadership in the Creative Industries and prepared for the new stage of their lives where they could fully dedicate themselves to xeem.

xeem is online

August 2020

In August 2020, the time had finally come: The beta version of the xeem platform with the first challenges from SAP and Merck went online.

1st Place Startup Award

February 2020

At the DIGITAL FUTUREcongress, xeem won 1st place in the Startup Awards and was able to convince the jury along with over 70 other companies.

Hessen Ideen Stipendium

January 2020

In 2020, the two founders received a scholarship from the state of Hesse for their idea. This allowed Janine and Géraldine to focus completely on xeem while studying.

Bachelor Thesis

August 2019

In 2019, Janine and Géraldine wrote their bachelor thesis together at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt. This is where the concept and idea of xeem was born.
